• Elsevier Foundation Travel Grants for junior female researchers
  • The Elsevier Foundation is funding a programme 'Increasing representation of female researchers in the computability community' to set up a mentorship system for junior female researchers, a workshop series, and childcare at CiE conferences (http://www.illc.uva.nl/CiE/index.php?page=22_3). This programme will cover up to five travel grants for female junior researchers to attend CiE 2010. Each grant constitutes a waiver of the participation fee and 300 EUR for travel and accommodation expenses (original receipts must be submitted). Every registered female junior researcher is eligible to apply. Preference will be given to researchers who present a paper (contributed paper or informal talk). Applications should contain a short CV (max 1 page) and contact information for an academic reference.   • The publisher Elsevier generously funds three student grants for students to attend CiE 2010. Each grant constitutes a waiver of the participation fee and a lump sum of 300 EUR for travel and accommodation expenses. Every registered student (undergraduate or graduate) is eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students who present a paper (contributed paper or informal talk) and to students not eligible for the Associação para a Mobilidade Antero de Quental student grants. Applications should contain a short CV (max 1 page) and contact information for the supervisor who would be willing to send us a letter of support.   • Associação para a Mobilidade Antero de Quental student grants
  • This association generously funds three grants for students who are USA citizens. The grants are for attending CiE 2010 and consist of the waiver of the participation fee and a lump sum of 300 EUR for travel and accommodation expenses. Every eligible registered student (undergraduate or graduate) may apply. Preference will be given to students who present a paper (contributed paper or informal talk). Applications should contain a short CV (max 1 page) and contact information for the supervisor who would be willing to send us a letter of support.   • SQIG - Instituto de Telecomunicações grants
  • Up to four grants for portuguese students with accepted communications are offered by SQIG - Instituto de Telecomunicações. The deadline for applications is May 25. The results will be announced the following day. To apply, please contact João Rasga at jrasga [at] gmail [dot] com.

  • CiE2010 organization grants for eastern european researchers
  • The organization of CiE2010 is glad to be able to offer partial or total fee waivers for eastern european researchers whose work has been accepted for presentation at CiE2010.
